Organization: CRD Associates
Position: Lobbyist Fellow
Location: Washington, DC
Overview of Organization:
Since 1980, CRD Associates has been helping organizations promote and protect their interests in the nation’s capital. Through good economic times and bad, corporations, trade associations, academic institutions and non-profit organizations have relied on our team of experts to chart a course through the confounding channels of government—whether it’s in the halls of Congress or the bureaucratic maze of a regulatory agency. We’ve helped non-profit organizations shine a spotlight on an unmet social need. We’ve given trade associations the tools to transform federal policy. And we’ve opened new marketing avenues for large and small companies. For more than 30 years, organizations have benefitted from CRD Associates’ unique blend of expertise, integrity and a fresh perspective on problem-solving.
Searching for three Fellows for the winter 2016 semester from January 5th through May 20th (timeline is somewhat flexible). The duties of the Fellow are varied and include attending hearings and committee markups, writing articles on the hearings or other legislative developments, arranging and organizing meetings in Congressional offices, preparing “Hill Day” materials, providing general support here in the firm, and many other “duties as assigned” that pop up. It’s a great way to get Capitol Hill experience and make contacts, and all of our previous Fellows have done very well in moving on to other good permanent jobs here or to graduate school.
