The Honors College is inviting applications for the Sheri Anne Graham Scholarship. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2500 for the 2009-2010 academic year and will be granted to a selected Honors College freshman who is pursuing a degree or discipline in the arts and sciences. The scholarship is renewed each year provided that the recipient remains an Honors College student in good standing, maintains a 3.3 cumulative GPA at FIU, and that funds are available in the Fund.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1. Full-time entering freshman in the Honors College with a high school GPA of 3.5 or greater;
2. A student who majors in or has declared his/her intention to major in “arts and sciences” (as defined at FIU, i.e. any major in the physical sciences, social sciences, liberal studies, or the fine and performing arts);
3. Must be a U.S. citizen and resident of Miami-Dade County;
4. Financial need;
5. Renewable upon maintaining a minimum 3.3 GPA and participation in the Honors College.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Write a two-page essay stating your academic and professional goals, including your intended field of study, and explain why you believe you should be selected as the recipient of the scholarship.
   
   
2. Include a copy of your resume and a copy of your most recent transcripts.
   
   
3. Sign and return the application form with your essay, resume, and transcripts to:
