The Honors College is inviting applications for the Sheri Anne Graham Scholarship. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2500 for the 2009-2010 academic year and will be granted to a selected Honors College freshman who is pursuing a degree or discipline in the arts and sciences. The scholarship is renewed each year provided that the recipient remains an Honors College student in good standing, maintains a 3.3 cumulative GPA at FIU, and that funds are available in the Fund.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Full-time entering freshman in the Honors College with a high school GPA of 3.5 or greater;
- A student who majors in or has declared his/her intention to major in “arts and sciences” (as defined at FIU, i.e. any major in the physical sciences, social sciences, liberal studies, or the fine and performing arts);
- Must be a U.S. citizen and resident of Miami-Dade County;
- Financial need;
- Renewable upon maintaining a minimum 3.3 GPA and participation in the Honors College.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Write a two-page essay stating your academic and professional goals, including your intended field of study, and explain why you believe you should be selected as the recipient of the scholarship.
- Include a copy of your resume and a copy of your most recent transcripts.
