JANUARY 08, 2009 (MIAMI) - The Aesthetics and Values class from the Honors College at Florida International University is curating a group exhibition at the Dorsch Gallery in Miami's Wynwood Art District. The exhibition, titled "Shapeshifted," will open on Saturday, January 17, 2008 at 3:00 pm.
The gallery invited the class to change and enhance the installation of the previous exhibition called "Shapeshifter," which presented artworks that used disguise or the shifting of states and forms. The class will explore if curation itself can affect one's perception of an art piece . The exhibition includes work in varied media formats by Jenny Brillhart, Elisabeth Condon, Robin Griffiths, Richard Haden, Michelle Hailey, m lafille, Martin Murphy, Ralph Provisero, John Sanchez and Kyle Trowbridge.
The Aesthetics and Values class from the Honors College at FIU is taught by John Bailly.
