MARCH 13, 2009 (MIAMI)– Honors College Leadership Seminar students, led by Dr. M. O. "Thiru" Thirunarayanan, are organizing a golf tournament open to FIU faculty, staff, and students, as well as the community at-large. Net proceeds from the event will go towards an endowment to create a scholarship for Honors College students.
The Golf Scramble will be held Friday, April 3 at the Miami Springs Golf and Country Club. Registration and driving range practice will be held from 12 noon-1:00 p.m. The tournament will run from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Dinner and an awards reception will immediately follow.
