MIAMI (February 4, 2008)- Stephen Leifman and Frank Ramos join a select group of leaders from the professional community in a dynamic partnership with the FIU’s Honors College. The Community Advisory Board provides tangible resource support to prepare some of FIU’s brightest students to become future leaders in the global marketplace.
The Honorable Judge Stephen Leifman, Special Advisor to the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court on Criminal Justice and Mental Health, serves as chair of the Florida Chief Justice’s Subcommittee on Mental Health, and chair of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Mental Health Committee.
Frank Ramos joins the Board as an Honors College alumnus (1993). Ramos serves as a partner at Clarke Silverglate & Campbell, where he handles a variety of litigation matters, including medical malpractice and special education. He also serves as an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association.

We are especially pleased that the Honorable Stephen Leifman, Circuit Court Judge and renowned advocate for proper treatment of the mentally ill, will bring his wisdom and commitment to the work of the Board.
