My name is Emely Pozo and I am currently serving as the president of S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a junior in the Honor’s College and I am currently pursuing a major in biology as well as a minor in chemistry. Upon graduation from FIU I plan on attending dental school and eventually specializing in periodontology. As president I am responsible for overlooking and conducting all general meetings in addition to being present at all the activities the organization is involved in. I hope to see everyone involved and look forward to another wonderful year with everyone!

Hello, I am Amro AlAshi and I currently serve as the Vice President for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a transfer student from Gaza Strip, Palestine. I was born and raised in Gaza Strip. I came to the United States in September 2014. I am currently pursuing a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry, as I aspire to become a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. For the past two years, I have been working restlessly to achieve the best I can and benefit my community the most. I am a very active person who loves running, basketball, swimming, reading, watching movies, and puzzles. As a Vice President, it is my duty to collaborate with the executive board members to help S.T.I.T.C.H. members achieve the most and support them along the journey to medical school. My main goals are to attend medical school and specialize in Pediatric Neurosurgery. I have true passions for science, math, music and mystery/horror books! Hey there! My name is Chelsy Fraga and I am the treasurer for S.T.I.T.C.H. I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I am currently a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Chemistry. My ultimate goal is to attend FIU’s College of Medicine and become a surgeon. During my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, fishing, and taking long walks on the beach. As the treasurer of S.T.I.T.C.H, I am responsible for collecting all funds during events and meetings, dispensing reimbursement checks on the behalf of the organization to its members, and maintaining clear and detailed financial records. Hi there! I’m Sophia Menendez, I am a sophomore here at FIU majoring in Biology with a nutrition minor. My goal is to attend medical school in hopes of becoming a Pediatric Endocrinologist! Hello, my name is Jason Kozarek and I am the current Service Trip Coordinator for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am currently a Junior majoring in Biology while being on the pre-med track. I love to spend time at the gym, watch movies, and play guitar. As Service Trip Coordinator, it is my responsibility to provide S.T.I.T.C.H. members with exposure to the medical field, primarily domestic and international service trips. It is my goal to make the service trips safe, educational and impactful for both the participants and the people they are servicing.
My name is Juliana Cazzaniga and I am the Secretary Chair of the Honors STITCH Organization at Florida International University. I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering on the pre-med track. Joining STITCH gave me numerous opportunities to be exposed to the medical field and the many aspects of being involved in my community. Hey guys! my name is Jorge Diaz and I am the Media Specialist for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am currently a senior at FIU working on a bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Some of my favorite activities include fishing, working out, playing guitar, and petting dogs. I plan on studying medicine at the HWCOM here at FIU and eventually pursue a residency in dermatology or plastic surgery. Hi my name is Lorena Lopez and I am the Historian for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a junior at FIU majoring in biology and after I graduate I plan on going to Dental school and then specializing in Orthodontics. Some activities that I enjoy are singing and dancing. Hi! My name is Anitza Quintero. I am currently serving as the chair of the treasurer for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a freshman in the Honors College majoring in biology on a pre-med track. My goal is to attend HWCOM at FIU and become a pediatric cardiologist. I have been volunteering at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in the Cardiology ICU for two years now. In my spare time I enjoy playing volleyball, belly dancing, and traveling. As chair of the treasurer, I assist Chelsy with fund collection, reimbursement checks, and maintaining financial records.
