My name is Emely Pozo and I am currently serving as the president of S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a sophomore in the Honor’s College and I am currently pursuing a major in biology as well as a minor in chemistry. Upon graduation from FIU I plan on attending dental school and eventually specializing in periodontology. As president I am responsible for overlooking and conducting all general meetings in addition to being present at all the activities the organization is involved in. Hello, I am Amro AlAshi and I currently serve as the Vice President for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am a transfer student from Gaza Strip, Palestine. I was born and raised in Gaza Strip. I came to the United States in September 2014. I am currently pursuing a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry, as I aspire to become a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. For the past two years, I have been working restlessly to achieve the best I can and benefit my community the most. I am a very active person who loves running, basketball, swimming, reading, watching movies, and puzzles. My ultimate goal is to attend FIU’s College of Medicine and become a surgeon. During my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, fishing, and taking long walks on the beach. As the treasurer of S.T.I.T.C.H, I am responsible for collecting all funds during events and meetings, dispensing reimbursement checks on the behalf of the organization to its members, and maintaining clear and detailed financial records. Hey, my name is Mauricio Chiriboga, and I’m the community service representative for STITCH! I am a senior Biology major pursuing a minor in Chem and a certificate in German language and culture. I hope to one day open my own practice as an OBGYN. I was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and moved here when I was five. I love eating, playing sports, making music, and going to the beach. I have spent a great part of my life volunteering for several organizations, and I hope to help you all get involved in assisting those in our community this year!

Hello, my name is Jason Kozarek and I am the current Service Triip Coordinator for S.T.I.T.C.H. I am currently a Junior majoring in Biology while being on the pre-med track. I love to spend time at the gym, watch movies, and play guitar. As Service Trip Coordinator, it is my responsibility to provide S.T.I.T.C.H. members with exposure to the medical field, primarily domestic and international service trips. It is my goal to make the service trips safe, educational and impactful for both the participants and the people they are servicing.
