Marifeli PĂ©rez-Stable is a professor at Florida International University and a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Inter-American Dialogue (Washington, DC). She authored The Cuban Revolution: Origins, Course, and Legacy and edited Looking Forward: Comparative Perspectives on Cuban Transition. Looking Forward was a finalist in the ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award (2007). She chaired the task force on Memory, Truth and Justice, which issued the report, Cuban National Reconciliation. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an associate of COMEXI, the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations. Her Miami Herald column appears every other Thursday. Her book, The United States and Cuba After the Cold War: Intimate Enemies, will be issued by Routledge in 2010.
