HONORS COLLEGE COLLOQUIUM
Architect Camilo Rosales received a terminal degree in Building Design from Harvard University, and a Master of Architecture with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a Senior College Scholar. Camilo Rosales - a registered architect in the states of New York and Florida - received a prestigious “Award for Built Project” from the American Institute of Architects. His work has been published in numerous architectural journals and periodicals and his collaborative work has been published in monographs and exhibited in American and European Museums. In 2000 he was elected Fellow of the International Institute for Advanced Studies (IIAS Germany) and received an Outstanding Scholarly Contribution Award from the same institution. He has published numerous scholarly and professional papers in national and international conferences about his research. Camilo Rosales worked in New York for the firm of l.M. Pei, architects of the acclaimed entrance to the Louvre Museum in Paris. He participated in the winning entry for the redevelopment of Madison Square Garden NYC and has worked with the internationally recognized, Miami based firm Arquitectonica. He served as Director of the Architecture Program at FlU from 1996 to 1999 and as coordinator of the Graduate Program in Architecture in 2002-03. He has been an invited design critic at other Florida Institutions, in Venezuela and Costa Rica and has participated in six research grants and contracts related to developments in architecture and architectural education that total over $300,000.00.
