Course Description


It is important that future doctors, nurses, healthcare educators, and allied health professionals are aware of how government and politics can shape the trajectory of their field and healthcare practices, and their role as an advocate for their patients and their profession.  This course will serve as an introduction to policy issues affecting health and health care and examines the role of government in the health care system and examine clinician's relationship and responsibility to be advocates for access, advocacy and education in their profession.
