Bio

Ben Sardiñas is Managing Director of Healthcare Mergers and Acquisitions, a boutique mergers and acquisitions firm he co-founded in 2004. He is also co-owner and Chief Strategy and Technology Officer of RSR Senior Residences, the owner and operator of 900 Assisted Living Facility beds in South Florida, and Co-Founder and Managing Director of BrickellPaySM, a payments and technology company.

The bulk of his career has been spent creating and growing business. An entrepreneur at heart, he feels most comfortable taking ideas and making them into profitable businesses. He has founded dozens of companies in South Florida and successfully sold one of them to a global consulting firm – AnswerThink (now The Hackett Group) – where he served as a practice leader and executive and was part of the team when the company had its IPO.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering specializing in Medical Instrumentation Design and Artificial Neural Networks with a minor in Chemistry from Florida International University, and is Certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Association of Bioanalysis.

At FIU, he received the Charles E. Perry Visionary Award for Outstanding Alumni from Florida International University in 2003. He served for 9 years on the board of directors of the 300,000+ member FIU Alumni Association where he served previously as Vice President, Treasurer and Parliamentarian. He has also served on the Board of Advisors to the Eugenio Pino Center for Entrepreneurship at FIU, the Advisory Board of the Institute for Technology Innovation at FIU, and the Board of Directors of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.

He is a past FIU SigEp Alumni Volunteer Corporation President and currently is the Vice President of Facilities, and served as Chapter Counselor of the FIU Chapter and on the Board of the FIU SigEp Capital Campaign. He has also served as Chairman of the SigEp Ritual Task Force since 2019 and serves as faculty for the Carslon Leadership Academy and Ruck Leadership Institute. He is also a recipient of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Exemplary Service Award.

Ben is proud father and grandfather. He practices Japanese Sword Arts – Kendo and Iaido – and teaches Iaido at Miami Budokan.
