SCHEDULE: Tuesday, 3:30PM – 5:45PM
Course Description
All Art is Environmental is a class concerned about the Environment. Using creativity to communicate ideas about the environment, we will also read and discuss essays by leading thinkers who are also concerned about the environment. Through ideas of Eco-Materialism, we may become more environmentally responsible, and in turn create the possibility of making real change. For the final project each student will select one creative method to form a narrative of their semester’s experiences and discoveries, including bookmaking, film, animation, comic book, poetry, and more. In the end we shall understand how and why all art is environmental.
(This class has no quizzes, no tests, no term papers, and discourages PowerPoint presentations.)
