Human-Centric Skills for Healthcare explores the connection between emotional intelligence and business sustainability, and the development of soft skills critical to meeting patient expectations. Areas of focus include compassion, consciousness, citizenship, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Students will explore each of these competencies through the lens of a career in healthcare. Meeting sessions will be a combination of lectures, dialogues, guest speakers, and experiential learning. The course emphasizes the development of public speaking and presentation skills. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the value of soft skills and appreciate their importance to careers in healthcare.
