An important part of being a member of the Honors College is demonstrating leadership by serving the extended community.
Every academic year, students are required to log 20 annual volunteer hours via the Honors College subgroup in Give Pulse. This platform also provides a listing of volunteer opportunities if you happen to be looking for a way to engage in your community. We accept Honors College service events, FIU service events, and non-FIU service. Please note that volunteer hours should reflect actual time spent providing support or service in an unpaid activity – donations in exchange for hours are not accepted. The HC Engagement Pathway in Panther Connect will be how we track activity/event participation.
To view additional volunteer opportunities, check our weekly Honors College newsletter and our Instagram @FIUHonors.
Please direct any questions to hcengage@fiu.edu. You can also check out the video below for a step by step on tracking your volunteer hours in GivePulse!
