Course Description

Israel has built a reputation as an entrepreneurial powerhouse that exports industry-disrupting technologies all over the world. Visitors to the “Start-Up Nation” marvel at the innovations that have emerged from a country that once made the desert bloom. This course will explore some of the major questions and challenges with which entrepreneurs contend and, ultimately, how the successful ones resolve them to propel their companies forward. What lessons can we learn from Israel’s innovation ecosystem? Why is failure a resumé-builder in the Tel Aviv tech scene? What do investors look for in a company before investing? How does government play a role in facilitating innovation and entrepreneurship? How has Israeli technology impacted South Florida? Each seminar will feature a guest expert who will share their perspectives and insights on what it takes to launch a successful start-up and promote an innovation economy.
