Course Description


This course is designated as a Global Learning course that counts toward your FIU global learning graduation requirement. It covers from China’s ancient history, culture, geography, language, traditions, major cuisines, arts to its modern science and technology advances, Belt and Road Initiative, and its global leadership.

The global perspective of the course will be achieved through active participation in class discussions. Each student will learn from and collaborate with other classmates. Each student will work on a visual presentation to reflect their general understanding of the new culture, people, and course content.

This course is offered fully online. The work to be performed during the semester has been divided into thirteen modules, each of which contains one or more activities. The due dates for each activity are specified in the relevant pages of the Content Modules.
