FIU College of Law Early Assurance


Eligible FIU sophomores in the Honors College have an opportunity to apply for guaranteed admission to the FIU College of Law (COL). Successful applicants will be notified of acceptance as they enter their junior year.

Eligibility

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6
  • Membership in the Honors College
  • Demonstrated ethical and professional character and behavior
  • Intention to accept the FIU COL offer of admission

Requirements to progress to Law School

  • Meet with the Honors Pre-Law advisor at least once each semester
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6
  • Take the LSAT by the stated deadline of the application year and score a minimum of 156
  • Complete the JD Program application via LSAC with all required documents (refer to for full instructions https://law.fiu.edu/lawadmit/apply/)

Application

  • Submit a completed application to the Honors College after completion of the sophomore year
  • Include the following with your application: Statement of Purpose, Current Panther Degree Audit Report (PDF), and Resume
  • Applications must be submitted in person (by appointment) to the Honors Pre-Law advisor
