Bio

Dr. Fang Shu is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Florida International University, recognized as notable global learning faculty by FIU Global. He teaches accounting and finance at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and various interdisciplinary courses at the Honors College.

Prior to teaching full-time in 2018, Dr. Shu had served as FIU's China Programs Manager for six years. He oversaw all aspects of the university relations, admissions, career development, and alumni relations in Greater China.

Dr. Shu has over 12 years’ experience in developing and leading higher education training programs. He has developed and led the Honors China Program, Hospitality in Japan Program, Faculty Training Program, and Student Immersion Program for various partnered universities.

Throughout his career, he has served on a number of boards and committees, including the Asia Committee at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) and FIU Honors College Dean’s Advisory Board. Dr. Shu strives to use his expertise and resources to fix social issues and make the world a better place.
