Patty Lopez-Guerrero is currently Director of the Center for Leadership & Service and a proud FIU Alumni with over 20 years of Higher Education experience. In this role, Patty sets the vision for student leadership development and community engagement programming for the department. She plays an active role and has dedicated her work to lead university-wide initiatives in co-curricular engagement, community-based learning, social innovation, and the Student Food Pantries. Patty has a bachelor’s degree in social work from FIU (’97) and a master’s degree in social work from Barry University (’98). In addition to her role at the Center for Leadership & Service, she also teaches First Year Experience and Honors College.
