Depending on your student status, there are different paths to joining the Honors College. Whether you’re an incoming freshman, transfer student or current student, we are always excited to hear from top-quality candidates.

Joining the FIU Honors is free. Students who have confirmed their spot may also be eligible for Honors-specific scholarships to help cover tuition and costs.

How much does it cost to join the Honors College?
Joining the Honors College is free.
Is the Honors College application different from the FIU application?

Yes, it is a separate process. Apply through your MyFIU portal, as outlined in How to Apply. You must already be admitted to FIU to apply to the Honors College.
I'm already admitted. How do I confirm my spot?
Confirm your spot in the Honors College through your MyFIU account.
Is there an Honors Orientation?
Not exactly. As a new Honors College student, you won't have a traditional orientation, but you must attend a new student workshop during the summer.

There's no better way to learn more about the Honors College than by attending one of our virtual ExplROAR information sessions. You can RSVP through the FIU Admissions Information Sessions page. Make sure to register for the Honors College!
