Course Description
This course explores Japanese minimalism through the literary and theatrical works of Kamo no Ch?mei and Zeami. Students will learn to craft Haiku and engage in Haikai-Haiku critique sessions within the classroom community. Building on these encounters with literary and performative simplicity, students will reflect on how these principles can be applied to everyday life and environmental sustainability.
