Course Description
Technosociety: Emerging Technologies and Their Ethical Implications explores the complex intersections of technology, ethics, and human behavior in an increasingly digital world. Through case studies, simulations, and reflective inquiry, students examine how emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence, surveillance systems, biotechnology, and social media—reshape identity, work, privacy, and power. The course challenges learners to think critically about innovation and its consequences, weighing progress against issues of equity, autonomy, and digital trust. By the end of the course, students will have developed the analytical tools and ethical frameworks to navigate, question, and influence the technological forces shaping contemporary society.
