Honors College Coaching Sessions
Coaching sessions at the Honors College are one hour, either in-person or virtually through Zoom. We tailor each session to your specific career questions or needs. Depending on those needs, we offer different types of appointments:
- Career Exploration
- General Coaching
- Graduate School Exploration
- Internships
- Interview Preparation
- Individual Mock Interview
- Job Search Help

How to Schedule an Appointment
Career coaching appointments are scheduled through Handshake, FIU’s career development partner.
- Log in to your FIU Handshake account using your FIU credentials.
- Click Career Center in the top-left navigation menu.
- Click Appointments, then Schedule a New Appointment.
- Click Choose a Category and select your desired campus.
- Click Choose an Appointment Type and select the topic you need help with.
- Use the Appointment Medium menus to select whether you want to meet in-person, virtually or via phone.
- Select an available date and time that works best for you.
- Complete the Appointment Request form, including as many details as you can.
- Click the Request button in the bottom-right to submit your appointment request.
