What Honors courses am I required to take?
To check your required courses, please consult our advising syllabi for:
Can I take two Honors courses in the same semester?
You cannot take two Honors courses in the same semester. If you are enrolled for two courses, we will contact you and ask which section you would like to be dropped from. If we do not receive a reply, you will be dropped from one section at random.
What is the difference between IDH3034 and IDH3035?
The difference is which semester you take each class. IDH3034 takes place during Summer A and Fall while IDH3035 takes place during Summer B and Spring.
Do I need to pick an IDH3034/3035 topic related to my major? Can I take the same IDH3034/3035 topic?
No, you do not need to pick an IDH class related to your major. We encourage students to explore whichever topic interests them most.
You cannot take identical classes for IDH3034 and IDH3035. For example, if you were to take “Law School in a Nutshell” for IDH3034, then you could not take that same class again for IDH3035. However, you would be able to take another pre-law IDH section, if interested.
Students can take sections that are similar but cannot take IDH3034/3035 topics that are the same. For example, if someone were to take “Law School in a Nutshell”, you cannot take “Law School in a Nutshell” again. However, you can take another pre-law IDH3034/3035 section if interested.

I am trying to enroll in a course, but it requires a permission code. What do I do?
Some Honors courses have specific requirements to be enrolled. Be sure to click on the class section notes to find out if there are specific requirements. If there are no specific requirements and it still requests a permission code, click continue without entering a code and it should allow you to enroll.
