The FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is prepared to offer a guaranteed interview for its Master in Physician Assistant Studies program to any Honors College student with the following admission application record:
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.5
- Minimum prerequisite GPA of 3.5
- Minimum of 1000 direct patient care experience (DCPE) paid hours
- Completion of the PA-CAT exam
- A significant record of activities to include community service, clinical training, professional behavior, leadership and participation in pre-health or pre-PA organizations
All Honors College students who meet the above criteria are eligible for a guaranteed interview with MPAS.
Rolling Admissions for MPAS
Let your Honors College advisor know if you meet the above requirements and are applying to FIU Medicine's MPAS program by October 15 (prior to the January 15th application deadline of the application cycle).
Honors College MPAS applicants are encouraged to apply early and to let their Honors College advisors know early about their intent to apply and confirm when CASPA application is submitted.
MPAS utilizes “rolling admission,” meaning that applications are reviewed continuously until the cohort is filled. Applying later and notifying Honors College advisors later in the MPAS application cycle may lead to an interview in a subsequent cycle/for a subsequent cohort rather than in the current cycle or for the current cohort
