Course Description
Israel is a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, producing technologies that transform industries worldwide. This course explores the challenges entrepreneurs face, the role of failure, investor priorities, and government support in fostering start-ups. Students will also examine the impact of Israeli tech on the U.S. and South Florida. Seminars feature guest experts who share real-world insights on launching successful ventures and driving innovation in today’s economy. This course gives FIU students a rare opportunity to learn from guest speakers each week, gaining firsthand insight into Israel’s world-leading start-up scene. Students will explore how failure can be a resume builder, practice pitching ideas, and collaborate in teams—skills that are valuable for any career. By studying real-world innovation and entrepreneurship, the course provides lifelong lessons while preparing students to contribute to South Florida’s growing tech and start-up ecosystem.
