Get Your Medical Degree in Seven Years
The 7-year (3+4) BS/M.D. program is a collaboration between the College of Arts, Sciences & Education, Honors College and Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, designed for outstanding high school students (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Medicine in only seven years at Florida International University.
Students displaying a strong academic background, demonstrated leadership, community service and health care experiences will have the potential for guaranteed admission to the FIU Medicine starting in their fourth year of the program, provided they meet all requirements.

Admission Process
To enter the 3+4 program, you must apply to FIU from high school. You must then:
- Apply to FIU via the standard First Year Applicant process and declare a BS in Biology major.
- You must apply to and be accepted into The Honors College as an incoming freshman.
- Be invited to apply to the 7-Year BS/M.D. Accelerated Pathway Program.
- Apply to FIU Medicine by the third year of the program via the American Medical College Application Service.
