A team of six friends, all Honors College students, made an impressive contribution at Johns Hopkins University to compete in MedHacks 2.0 where their goal was to develop a piece of technology in under 36 hours that solves a problem in the medical field.
The team, Project LegDay, created a fully functioning prototype for a prosthetic leg earning them a spot into the top ten. One team member, Joel Greenup, a psychology major, was born with spina bifida, a birth defect that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. He served as the project manager and inspiration for Project LegDay.
