Study Abroad with the Honors College

Honors College Study Abroad programs give you the opportunity to experience truly global learning, traveling to host countries to learn by doing. You will see incredible destinations through the eyes of locals who call them home, all while engaging with our rigorous and interdisciplinary Study Abroad curriculum.

10 Destinations

Whether you’re a biology, business or psychology major, we have a program for you. Each of our 10 programs are interdisciplinary and open to students of all majors in the Honors College.

Safe, Convenient and Carefully Planned

We take care of accommodations, in-program transportation, guest lectures and more, which all support your learning abroad. You are only responsible for transportation to and from your program country and meals outside the program.

Expert-led Programs

12 to 22 students will take a class with an FIU Honors professor serving as their faculty director and travel as a group for three to six weeks. Honors Study Abroad courses count toward Honors upper-division requirements.
